When I started working in my dad’s financial planning business as a high school kid, I could not have imagined that being in this business would change my perspective on family and faith.
Very early on, I knew my Dad was much more than a trusted financial advisor.
Today, I realize that in the course of helping to guide our clients, the financial advice is really secondary. It is the vehicle we use to fund their family story. You can get a good win book of dead online casino While we take great pride in our track record of being second to none in the financial advice we provide, it is the work we do to help our clients live with purpose that gives deeper meaning to what we do. As a result, they become family to us.
Hearing about a child being accepted into their drem school, setting a retirement date, or helping a client to plan a family vacation with all the kids and grandkids — those are the most rewarding moments as an advisor.
Knowing too, that we will be one of the first calls made when a spouse dies, or a layoff happens, or when mom or dad have become frail, is a responsibility we don’t take lightly.
Today, nearly 30 years into this journey, my kids are working in the business, and our story is completely intertwined with those of our client family. My definition of family hasn’t changed, but my perspective certainly has.
One of my favorite Bible verses is Jeremiah 29:11, which reads “For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you hope and a future.” At each milestone we share in our client’s lives, I get to see how God has used the work we do to help them live out the plans He has for their lives. That is a true blessing.
I am very thankful to be on this journey with you—our extended client family. It is because of our journey together that I strive to help our clients “Live their Legacy with Confidence” every day. Like all families, we celebrate when a new member joins the group. We would love to be a part of your story, to see how we might be able to help you gain more confidence to live the legacy God has created you to live.
